Distributed IO Systems

ST Series is a distributed I/O system that operates as a slave device for either CC-Link or Profibus device level networks. This modular system features a head unit, power supply and compact I/O that snaps quickly together on DIN rail to form a remote system or node. This modular system enables builders to easily configure nodes that are flexible and provide long term serviceability while best meeting machine requirements. Plant personnel will appreciate the expansion capabilities along with the ability to quickly service and replace I/O without impacting production. CC-Link IE Field is a flexible Control and Device level network that is based on 1GBit Industrial Ethernet. This network can be configured to interconnect automation devices or be used to control distributed I/O systems. When configured for remote I/O, systems will generally include a slave head station, power supply and I/O from the popular L-Series family of controllers. L-Series I/O is extremely popular with machine builders due to its modular design and snap together rack-free architecture while many maintenance departments find the removable terminal block invaluable. This type of system is ideal for many machine builders and manufacturing facilities seeking higher concentrations of modular I/O.

CC-Link is a high performance Device level network that is based on 10MBit twisted pair wiring. This network is used to interconnect a wide variety of automation devices including I/O, Controllers, HMIs, VFDs and Servo products. When configuring systems for remote I/O control, solutions will generally include a network Master station and the remote I/O node. Remote I/O nodes can be specified from any of the following types including digital, analog, temperature, high-speed counter or positioning. Users have the freedom to select digital I/O based on a number of difference characteristics including I/O density (8/16/32 points), Input specifications (AC/DC), Output specifications (Relay, Triac and Transistor) and termination type (conventional screw terminal, FCN and quick connector types). Most remote I/O nodes are designed for installation into control cabinets but direct mount (IP67 waterproof) nodes are also available. This type of remote I/O system is ideal for many machine builders and manufacturing facilities seeking smaller concentrations of fixed I/O.

CC-Link/LT is a high performance Sensor level network that is based on 10MBit twisted pair wiring. This network is used to interconnect simple remote I/O devices together. When configuring systems for remote I/O control, solutions will generally include a network Master station and the remote I/O node. Remote I/O nodes are specified as either a digital or analog device. Users have the freedom to select digital I/O based on a number of difference characteristics including I/O density (2/4/8/16 points), Input specifications (24VDC only), Output specifications (Relay and Transistor) and termination type (conventional screw terminal, MIL connector and quick connector types). This remote I/O solution is generally embedded into control cabinets and is ideal for machine builders and facilities seeking very small concentrations of fixed I/O.

CC-Link Safety is a high performance Safety network that is fully IEC 61508 SIL3 & ISO13849-1 Category 4 certified. Based on CC-Link technology this network is used to interconnect critical safety components including emergency stop buttons, light curtains and other safety products in a system. When configuring safety systems, solutions with generally include Safety Master head station and safety specific remote I/O nodes. Safety I/O nodes feature dual redundant inputs and outputs, test pulse capabilities and built in safety diagnostics. Users will select digital I/O based on a number of characteristics including I/O density (4/8/12) and I/O mix (DC Inputs or Transistor Outputs). This remote I/O solution is generally embedded into control cabinets and is ideal for machine builders and facilities seeking to provide safety solutions.
