PLK-Series Sewing Operations

Sample list of operations done on Mitsubishi Programmable Sewing Machines with clamping developed by the Applications Department.

Apparel

  • Attach labels of various shapes, sizes and material. Sewn on two or all four sides and with straight or zigzag stitching.
  • Attach buttons with a button holder clamp.
  • Attach shirt pockets on finished as well as non-finished shirts.
  • Attach pre-folded jeans pockets.
  • Attach zippers.
  • Attach Velcro with standard or adjustable clamp and on top or bottom side of material.
  • Attach the hook and eye tape to bra straps with a special designed machine that produces high quality and production.
  • Attach belt loops.
  • Buttonhole tack that pinches the hole closed before tacking. Designed especially for the finish tack on dress jacket buttonholes.
  • Dart sew on dress trousers.
  • Waistbands and tab extensions for dress trousers.
  • Baseball cap visor stitching. An adjustable clamp allows for quick changeovers to stitch different style visors. Easy loading permits one operator to run up to three machines at a time.
  • Baseball cap eyelet hole sew. Clamp features a pop-up pin locating mechanism.

Automotive and Aircraft

  • Seat cover pleating. Special clamping system that holds cover panels on perimeter allowing for a very versatile pattern stitching system.
  • Interior trim parts.
  • Air bags. Many different operations on drivers side, passenger side, side impact and curtain bags. Most of the clamping uses a pivot style clamping system that greatly enhances the load-ability of the machine.

  • Bungee cord formation and tack.

  • Attach reinforcement patches to seat and trim parts.
  • Seat belt manufacturing. Attach buckles/latches and mounting anchor to seat belt webbing. Various types of stitch patterns including an overlap finish stitch.

  • Leather shoes and cowboy boots. Various operations including decorative stitching.

  • Military uniforms and fatigues. Many different operations including epaulettes, pocket flaps, and the attachment of several pieces of velcro.
  • Duffel bags. Attach reinforcement patches, straps, and eyelet latch.
