The PackML OEM Template Package includes a fully compliant PackML program along with documentation for use with an iQ Platform PLC from Mitsubishi Electric. This package is organized to follow the OMAC Users Group PackML Implementation Guide and the ISA-88 Make2Pack modular structure. All routines within the PackML template program have been developed in GX Works2. Using this template package, a significant amount of work can be reduced for OEM users seeking to use PackML for new or existing packaging machines. Programming materials also include GOT (graphic operation terminal) screens with the familiar PackML "look and feel" for transitioning between the operating modes.

The Low Cost PackML Solution is a programming template designed to be used for lower-end packaging machinery that utilize an L Series Mitsubishi PLC. OEMs and End-users can save a significant amount of time and effort when programming with this template. Similar to the higher-end PackML OEM Template Package, this solution includes GOT (graphic operation terminal) screens with the familiar PackML "look and feel" for transitioning between operating modes, and the programs are compliant with the ISA-88 Make2Pack modular structure.

This customized solution provides an easy method for Mitsubishi Electric's servos to be controlled over an EtherNet/IP network without the need to re-engineer the entire control setup of a machine. Mitsubishi Electric's servos are extremely robust and very easy to tune, which means customers receive a better ROI along with reduced setup and maintenance times. Mitsubishi servos also boast exceptional performance (2.1kHz response frequency), potentially resulting in boosted machine production levels.

This solution alleviates the need to implement an expensive server-based Flexible Assembly Configuration System (FACS), which is typically required to support large automotive flexible assembly line implementations. The "MEL-FACS" solution consists of (1) an HMI based assembly station task configuration system (2) a standardized assembly station hardware architecture, and (3) PLC control logic for a standardized assembly station. The package primarily targets engine and transmission assembly lines, but it can be applied to the flexible assembly line operations of other products as well. MEL-FACS comes complete with a MEL-FACS Manual Work Station (MWS) system and a three-part user guide.

A solution that provides template operator interface screens and standard application function blocks that can be customized easily by OEMs and/or machine builders to develop powertrain assembly systems (MELPT-ASM) to meet specific customer requirements. MELPT-ASM is built on Mitsubishi Electric "iQ Platform" and "iQ Works" technologies and applicable and adaptable globally to meet the requirements of different powertrain manufacturers. It supports powertrain assembly and testing operations.

The Mitsubishi TCP Communication FB libraries contain the function blocks that can be used to open, close, send and receive TCP packets using Mitsubishi QJ71E71-100 Ethernet Module as well as the Built-in Ethernet Port on a QnUDEH PLC. The purpose of these function blocks is to assist users of Mitsubishi PLCs to establish Ethernet communication with external systems quickly without having to write detailed communication calls. The zip file contains (1) a TCP Communication Function Block Library and an example GX Works2 Project for use with the QnUDEH front port, (2) a TCP Communication Function Block Library and an example GX Works2 Project for use with the Ethernet module, and (3) a Quick Start Guide describing how to use these function blocks.

This Quick Start Guide describes the basic steps required to configure a Mitsubishi PLC as a server or client for TCP/IP or MC Protocol communication to other devices. The Ethernet communication can be accomplished through the built-in Ethernet front port on a PLC (QnUDEH or L) or a QJ71E71-100 Ethernet communication module. The document mainly focuses on the configurations and setup requirements needed to accomplish communication tasks, and should be a useful resource for communicating to third party TCP/IP devices such barcode readers, scanners, printers, etc.
